Net Metering

On a sunny day, depending on your energy consumption, your solar-electric system typically produces more energy than you use. Rather than going to waste, this excess electricity is sent back to the utility via Net Metering. Net Metering allows the customer to bank their unused energy and use it at night or during the winter months. This concept is often assimilated to cell phone roll over minutes. What you don’t use gets banked and used at a later time.
